We bought our house!
Thanks to many generous foundation, corporate, and individual donors, Jackson County CASA now has a safe, permanent home. Purchasing our current three-story “house” at 2544 Holmes will allow CASA to stay in our ideal location next to the Family Court and will free up expenses to help us serve more children every year. Our successful Capital Campaign raised $400,000 to purchase the house, fund immediate repairs and maintenance, and set aside a capital reserve for future house expenses. Thank you to all of you who helped make this dream a reality!
CASA continues to grow
Jackson County CASA served 820 children in 2011, more than any time in the agency’s history. With the help of 263 active CASA volunteers, we were able to provide these children with a voice in Court to protect their best interests. Sadly, this still leaves hundreds of children still on a waiting list for our services. In 2012 we are gearing up to serve 900 children – a capacity increase of 10%.
