More than 550 children and adults joined us at Paradise Park in Lee’s Summit on Saturday, Sept 16 for our 6^th annual Carnival for CASA.   Most importantly, more than 180 of CASA’s abused and neglected children were able to enjoy the fun-filled day, thanks to the support of many generous donors.  This year’s attractions included a photo booth, dunk tank, family-friendly silent auction, cake walk, Kids Workshop sponsored by Home Depot, a petting zoo sponsored by Savanahland, Storytime by Barnes and Noble, appearances by Slugger and Les Norman (former Royals player), and performances by Mr. Stinky Feed, The La La’s, Jack Snaps, and Heart of America Dance Theatre.  The event raised more than $45,000 to support CASA’s important work with children in the Family Court system.
